Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle is coming to Netflix on October 8 and Pokemon GO is throwing a ten-day celebration with a themed in-game event.
Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle is slated for release on Netflix come Friday, October 8, 2021. Trainers in Pokemon GO can celebrate the cinematic event by welcoming a new pokemon to the game. Jessie and James are also coming back along with more in-game content inspired by the film.

Pokemon GO: Secrets of the Jungle tie-in event - features
- A limited-time Special Research story wherein you can help Professor Willow learn more about Zarude and earn an encounter with the Rogue Monkey Pokemon. Make sure you get the Special Research during the event and you can complete it anytime.
- It wouldn't be a movie tie-in without some themed Pokemon popping up in the wild. You can expect encounters with Hoothoot, Combee, Drilbur, Cottonee, Dwebble, and more. The luckiest Trainers may encounter a Larvitar.
- Explorer Pikachu (and its Shiny version) will be coming back to Pokemon GO's wild.
- Jessie and James are back and so are their hijinks. Get a couple of snapshots and be on the lookout for a Meowth Balloon. They will be appearing until Friday, October 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
- PokeStops will be doling out Field Research tasks. Complete these to gain encounters with Audino, Rufflet (+ a Shiny Rufflet) and more.
- Style Shop will update its offer with some new free avatar items. These include the Adventure Hat and the Wailmer Water Bottle.
