Trainers of Pokemon GO will have a chance to encounter all Pokemon that appeared in 2021's Community Days. The major event will take place on a weekend.
Pokemon GO is saying goodbye to 2021 with an epic Community Day that will feature all Pokemon that appeared in the event throughout the year. The Pokemon will appear more frequently, hatching from Eggs as well as appearing in raids.
December Community Day
Date and time
Pokemon GO's December Community day will happen on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time and Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Event Bonuses
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event
- 2× Catch XP
- 2× Catch Stardust
Special bonuses
Enjoy the following bonuses from Friday, December 17, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. local time until Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
- 25 per cent reduced Stardust cost for trades
- 1 extra special trade per day
Pokemon Storage and Item Bag Cap Increase
The biggest Community Day of the year creates the need for a special Pokemon storage and Item Bag increase. Expansions for Item Bag and Pokemon Storage will be available for purchase at the in-game shop.
- Pokemon Storage Expansion Cap: 5,000 -> 5,500
- Item Bag Expansion Cap: 4,000 -> 4,500
The change will take effect on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 21:00 GMT (1:00 p.m. PST).

Tickets for the December Community Day exclusive Special Research story will go on sale closer to the event. The tickets will cost US$1.00 (or equivalent in your local currency). As always, tickets are nonrefundable and the Special Research will not include an in-game medal.
Timed Research
Timed Research tasks with a focus on all of the Pokemon that have been featured in Community Day events over the past two years will be available from Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. local time to Monday, December 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Field Research Tasks
Complete Field Research tasks and earn Mega Energy for Pokemon. The Field Research tasks will be available starting on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 18:00 GMT (10:00 a.m. PST) until Monday, December 20, 2021, at 18:00 GMT (10:00 a.m. PST).
