URF is back!

Ultra Rapid Fire, also known as URF, is a League of Legends game mode that grants 80 per cent cooldown reduction to all players, on top of removing ability costs.

URF has always been the fan-favourite game mode thanks to its chaotic nature provided by the lower cooldowns. While the complete champion roster becomes much stronger, there are a couple of picks that simply outshine the rest in terms of sheer power or the amount of fun you can have by playing them.

Wukong

Wukong has been dominating the meta in the last couple of patches and even though we didn't get a chance to play the new Monkey King on URF, it's safe to say that his kit will be one of the strongest in the game.

Lucian

Lucian is a nightmare to play against in this game mode thanks to the constant kiting provided by his Relentless Pursuit (E). He's always a good pick against a skillshot stacked team composition.

Morgana

The short cooldown on Morgana's Dark Binding (Q) will make most players want to quit the game. Once her Q gets maxed out, an enemy champion that lacks mobility can get permanently rooted, time after time.

Yummi

Many consider Yummi to be the most obnoxious champion to deal with in this game mode. Providing constant healing for a hyper carry like Jax or Tryndamere is one of the easiest strategies to assure the win.

Zed

Zed is one of the strongest champions in this game mode thanks to his shadows. He has the ability to poke the enemies from miles away and once their health bar drops low enough, he can quickly swap with his shadow and finish the kill with his ultimate.

Malphite

Malphite thrives in this game mode thanks to the shortened cooldown on his Unstoppable Force (R). All you have to do is survive to level six, and then the fun begins. There is just a handful of champions who can survive his strong all-ins.

Master Yi

The short cooldown on Alpha Strike (Q) makes it almost impossible to track down Master Yi in team fights. Paired with enchanter supports like Yummi or Lulu makes it almost impossible to lose a fight when you have Yi in your team.

Fizz

Fizz has the unique ability to become untargetable thanks to his Playful/Trickster (E). All you have to do is buy Zhonya's Hourglass and you will remain untouched in most of the fights.

Veigar

Veigar has always been a late-game powerhouse thanks to the ability to infinitely stack AP. The fact that you can't run out of mana, on top of the short cooldowns is more than enough for Veigar to make the list.
