GTA Online players looking to score a new rifle might have some trouble getting the parts for it but here is a quick guide on how to maximise your chances of running into them.

Getting the Service Carbine in GTA Online might get easier in the future as there are datamined files pointing to a price tag in Ammu-Nation but for the time being, the only way to grab one is to find five crime scenes and loot the parts from them. Here is how to get them easily.

Crime scene locations and how to spot them

The first thing you need to remember is that you need to spend at least 20 minutes in a session before the random event even pops up. Once that's done, you can come across a crime scene so it would be best to just spend the time in an Invite Only session, doing heist preps, resupply missions, payphone hits or anything that strikes your fancy.

Once the 20 minutes pass, spotting a crime scene that appears near you is not that hard - the minimap will flash and a blue dot will appear, the same way passed-out Cayo Perico guards and Exotic Export cars do.

There are 10 spots where the random events can pop up but there might be repeats. Some players reported finding three crime scenes in the same spot, after waiting an appropriate amount of time, of course.

As such, your best bet is to ignore the four spots outside the city, grab an aerial vehicle - either a helicopter or an Oppressor, and follow the route between the crime scene spawns.

You don't need to strictly follow the order, you can start from the spot that is closest to your apartment or spawn point. In this case, the first spot was closest to my apartment which is why I started from there.

While the starting point is not important, it's highly suggested you follow the rest of the route in the pattern outlined by the order of the numbers on the image above, in order to minimise the flying time before you bump into a crime scene.

Once a crime scene pops up, it will be visible on the map even if you missed it and flew away so it won't be hard to spot them. When you loot a crime scene, you will need to enter a new session and repeat the process, meaning that you will need at least an hour and 40 minutes to complete the collection, which requires five weapon parts.
