In Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the latest action RPG from Cygames, essential materials for constructing or enhancing weapons, along with other important items, can be obtained either as rewards for successfully completed quests or by discovering them in chests scattered throughout the game levels.
Aside from the standard chests distributed throughout the game levels that generally yield regular loot, there are also distinctive locked chests exclusively located in the towns of Folca and Seedhollow. Unlocking these chests requires special keys.
While Folca houses chests solely locked with the Silver Key, Seedhollow features two additional types of chests requiring either the Gold Key or Whitewing Key. This guide provides information on how to locate the Gold Key.
How to locate and obtain Gold Key
Similar to the Silver Key, the Gold Key is acquired upon the completion of a successful side quest. However, this time, the side quest is located in Seedhollow. Notably, you cannot start this particular side quest until you have finished the main story and completed a specific segment of the side quests in Seedhollow. Engage in side quests until a lady appears in the market, offering a task where she requests that you eliminate a cobra for her partner.
The side quest, titled "Out of Serpentine Spite," straightforwardly tasks you with eliminating a cobra. If this seems confusing, as it did to us initially, the solution is quite simple. Visit the quest counter, opt for the "undertake quest" option, and choose "survival." In this category, you should find four missions, with the third one named "Rilla Done Did It." Initiate this mission, where seven cobras will spawn. While it's sufficient to eliminate one, aim to take down as many as possible for a more favourable mission outcome.
Upon completing the mission, you will be brought back to Seedhollow. Head to the quest giver and finalise the quest. This action will reward you with the Gold Key, which you can subsequently use to unlock chests in Seedhollow that are compatible with this key.
