Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 launched with an Espionage theme storyline and item pool. Moreover, Epic Games added many new features to the game, including the new mod benches and weapon cases.
While weapons are obtainable through chests and ground loot, the fastest way to get higher rarity weapons is by finding a weapons case. Previously, in Chapter 5 Season 3, these new weapon cases were available at the new storyline POIs on the map.
However, with Season 4, Fortnite has moved into Disney's Marvel theme, eliminating the post-apocalyptic and High Society POIs from the map. So, if you were wondering about how you can find weapon cases on the new map, here's a comprehensive guide.
How to Find Weapon Cases in Chapter 5 Season 4
In the previous seasons, players could only obtain weapon cases by opening vaults. However, the High Society POIs were erased from the map with the Chapter 5 Season 2 update, including all weapon vaults.
So, in Season 4, Weapon Bunkers are the only way to find Weapon Cases. Players can now access the weapon case by simply finding an opened weapon bunker on the map, eliminating the need to battle a boss for their key card to open a vault.
Once the third Storm Circle emerges, all weapon bunkers start opening. The map may show nine bunker spots, but in a match, you'll only be able to access six of them. When playing a match, players can see which weapon bunkers are available by looking for bunker symbols on their map.
Weapon cases usually work like chests or supply drops. Players can approach the weapon case and initiate the prompt, which will then pop a weapon out. The rarity of weapons available in weapon cases ranges from rare to legendary. All weapons obtained from weapon cases are modifiable at mod benches.
