Trials of Osiris is approaching in Destiny 2 and one thing players should be wary of are Titan Barricade since they allow reviving with minimal risk. We compiled a few weapon suggestions to counter this tactic and increase your chances of visiting Lighthouse.

Trials of Osiris is 3v3 Elimination with short rounds that last 90 seconds with potential 30 seconds of overtime. Players that get downed can be revived by teammates but they are also at risk while doing so, which makes Titan Barricades invaluable in this mode. However, Bungie are aware of the impact this ability can have and are rebalancing it for the upcoming introduction of Trials to Destiny 2 .

Barricades will now have 600 health and many weapons will deal increased damage against them in order to make popping one while reviving a teammate a high risk-high reward scenario. Some weapons will excel in destroying Barricades though so it may be wise to pack some of them before getting into Trials. Here are a few we believe will work well.

Bastion

Introduced with Season of Dawn, Bastion is a Fusion Rifle that can charge up an even more powerful shot. To break it down, each slug from a Bastion shot deals 30 damage in PvP and each shot fires seven slugs. That's 210 damage in total. Charging the weapon up causes it to fire three spreads of slugs, bringing the damage to 630 if they all land.

That would be enough to wreck a Barricade on its own but Fusion Rifles are among the weapons that will get a 60 per cent damage boost, meaning that firing three spreads of slugs will break the barrier with slugs to spare, which could potentially have enough damage to kill the Titan behind the Barricade.

It looks overpowered on paper and it remains to be seen whether Bungie will nerf the gun or its effectiveness against Barricades, especially because this weapon occupies the Kinetic slot, leaving the coveted Energy slot for something that will be used in regular firefights. Credit to the diligent Redditor who initially did the math first.

Revoker

The infamous sniper rifle that makes PvP less enjoyable for some because it refunds missed shots. It is exactly for this reason that it will be strong against Titan Barricades. Hitting them counts as missing a shot so the process of destroying one will not waste your precious ammo.

Bungie will also boost Sniper Rifles' damage to barriers by 30 per cent which should make tearing Barricades down a child's play. Keep in mind that you can shoot the weapon at Barricades indefinitely without having to reload but firing another bullet before the first one gets refunded will not refund the second one.

Eriana's Vow (possibly)

Eriana's Vow will be the only hand cannon that will intrinsically work well against Titan Barricades. This is due to it having shield-piercing capabilities and will, therefore, have 30 per cent increased damage against the annoying force fields.

On top of that, there is the Death at First Glance trait that increases the weapon's damage on the first shot and extends whenever you score a precision hit.

Bungie noted that "you'll see yellow damage numbers when hitting a barricade with a counter weapon" which may or may not mean these will count as precision hits for the purposes of extending Death at First Glance.

With all of the above in mind, Eriana's Vow deals 103 damage unless it's a headshot. With a 30 per cent increase, it will deal 134 damage per hit on a barrier, meaning you will need four shots to get rid of one. This is definitely slower than Bastion and takes the Energy weapon slot but it is a more reliable option at range, in case your Kinetic weapon of choice is a close-quarters one.
