ARC Raiders is a newly released extraction shooter from Embark Studios. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
As you progress through the levels in ARC Raiders, you slowly unlock features like the Trials, which are in-game point-based weekly challenges that are refreshed every week. By earning three stars and points in these challenges, you can climb through the ranks to earn exclusive rewards.
Each week Embark adds a new set of challenges for players to complete and climb up their leaderboards. The Season 2 Week 3 trials are live now, and here's a comprehensive guide on how to earn 3 stars in this week's trials.
What are Trials in ARC Raiders?
Trials is the unofficial rank system in ARC Raiders, which is unlocked at player level 15. Once unlocked, players have to earn points by completing challenges every week and climb up the leaderboards. By earning stars, players can earn exclusive rewards.
The challenges are usually divided into three stages, which are marked by stars. By earning points you can get stars, and each challenge has a limit of 3 stars. For each star, players get a reward, with a total of three rewards for completing a challenge.
By earning points you can earn a position in the leaderboard of 100 players in the same rank. Getting into the top 20 of the leaderboard will earn you a 2x promotion to the next ranks. With 1x promotion allocated for the next 30 positions. The bottom 20 players of the leaderboard are demoted to the previous rank.
How to Get 3 Stars in Season 2 Week 3 Trials in ARC Raiders
Like every week, this week's trials have five challenges players must complete to climb up the leaderboard. These challenges are quite easy, but you have to follow some simple strategies to effectively finish them without wasting your important resources. Here's an in-depth guide on how to get 3 stars in Season 2 Week 3 trials in ARC Raiders:
Damage Snitches
The first challenge for this week's trials requires players to damage snitches. You can easily complete this challenge on your own; you need to destroy around 8-9 snitches to get 3 stars and a good score.
Throw Snowball at Bastions
Like the previous week's Rocketeer challenge, this week players need to hit a Bastion with snowballs. To complete this challenge, collect around 20 snowballs in Cold Snap mode. Then head to the Hidden Bunker game mode and make your way to the Departure building. You will find a Bastion near the gate of the Hidden Bunker. Hit the Bastion with 20 snowballs and you'll get three stars in this challenge.
Damage Bastions
This is probably the hardest challenge of this week's trials. To complete this challenge and get 3 stars, you will need 4000 points. You can get 4500 points by completely taking out a Bastion. From our previous trial runs, Buried City Night Raid seems like the best place to complete this challenge. To take out a Bastion in the shortest amount of time, use 3 wolfpack grenades.
Search Supply Drops
Searching Supply Drops might be the most annoying part of this week's trials. The best map for completing this challenge is Spaceport. The recommended way for this challenge is doing it solo, as it will be a guaranteed bloodbath in duos and trios. Here are the locations of the supply drops in Spaceport:
To complete this challenge you'll need to search at least 3 supply drops. Just head to the supply drop call stations and press on the call button to bring a supply drop down. Once it reaches the ground, breach and search it to complete the challenge. You can also complete this challenge by searching supply drops called by other players.
Harvest Plants
The harvest plants challenge is quite easy to complete if you know which places to hit. The best way to get 3 stars in this challenge is by playing the Cold Snap mode on Spaceport or Buried City. In Spaceport, try harvesting the Great Mullein trees near the Trench Towers. As for Buried City, the best way to quickly complete this challenge is by visiting the Galleria POI near Hospital and Space Travel; you'll find a bunch of Mullein trees grouped up together.
Getting 3 stars with decent points in trials will guarantee you a spot in the top 20 of the leaderboard. Remaining in the top 20 will also allow you to jump 2 ranks once the trials are refreshed for next week.
