ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update is the most awaited update players have been waiting for the past few months. Since Embark's announcement of two major updates every six months, players have been stuck with the same content that was there since launch.
The Frozen Trail update is finally out across all platforms worldwide. This update features reworks to the trial system and skill tree. Moreover, it introduces new ARCs, weapons, items, gadgets, and a brand-new big map, Pendola Pass.

How to Find Steel Cables in ARC Raiders
Steel Cables are an important requirement for completing the first level up requirements for the new Research Station. While the drop pattern of loot is random in ARC Raiders, there are certain places that can drop certain items, like Steel Cables.
If you're looking for Steel Cables, then try venturing or looking into high-value loot POIs of the new Pendola Pass map in ARC Raiders. Here are the best locations to look for Steel Cables:
- Railyard
- Almatera Station
- Commissary Supermarket
- Storm Hut
Steel Cables are mostly available in high-value loot areas, as they are rare item. Once you start your match, check the map to see if the areas mentioned above are high-value loot areas. You'll find at least 1 Steel Cable in this way.
Aside from that, if you are playing the normal Pendola Pass map, then you can expect to see Flash Freeze hit different areas of the map. During that time, head to the closest storm hut as fast as you can; you'll find a Steel Cable and other loot in that hut almost every few matches.
