Hi-Rez Studios splits into three studios

Hi-Rez Studios, the guys that brought us Smite, Paladins and the latest battle royale themed offshoot thereof, Realm Royale, have decided to split into three internal studios so as to allow for proper focus on each of the company's games.

Paladins gets new event, skins and Vault

Hi-Rez Studios have rolled out the 1.4 update for their co-op shooter Paladins, adding a new 4v4 event dubbed the Dragon's Call, along with exclusive Dragon's Call skins, the Vault and a hefty mid-season balance pass on most champions.

Paladins' new champion Koga details

Hi-Rez Studios have released the update 1.3 for their team based multiplayer shooter Paladins: Champion of the Realm. The new update brought a new champion named Koga with it, who seems to be a gun totting ninja that's out for blood.

Paladins gets Ameri-Khan skin, hero tweaks

Contrary to what they're often accused of, Hi-Rez Studios can be quite creative, with quite giggle-worthy results whenever they do. Anyway, the 1.2 update to their co-op shooter Paladins comes with a new skin and a bunch of hero tweaks.

Paladins Furia update is late for consoles

Paladins' patch 1.1 has landed over two weeks ago on PC but it was expected to roll out on Xbox One at a later date. However, this has coincided with E3 and Nintendo Switch launch so the update had to be postponed to 27 June 2018.

Valve are introducing Steam Chat, beta phase

Steam users will soon finally be able to have voice chat on the platform, as Valve have introduced the feature in Steam's client beta. It remains to be seen whether it will gain traction, due to Discord's massive popularity as of late.

A keen observer watching over Nintendo eShop caught a glimpse of Hi-Rez Studios' co-op shooter Paladins in the wild and it looks like we'll be seeing the game on the Switch on 12 June 2018, with the Founder's Pack already available.

Furia is the newest addition in Paladins

Limited time game modes seem to be at the geight of their popularity since everyone and their cats are now releasing them. Such is the case with Hi-Rez who announced the Abyss mode along with the upcoming champion Furia in a sizable update.

As if Hi-Rez studios needed more Overwatch clone accusations chucked their way, right? Anyway, it turns out that recently released artwork for Paladins Strike, mobile edition of the co-op shooter, straight up rips off Blizzard's Overwatch.

Paladins updates will change after launch

Players have expressed their worries about Paladins' readiness for the upcoming release and inadvertently spawned a "ready for launch" meme. This prompted Hi-Rez studios to respond to players' concerns and hint at their future plans.

Paladins is coming out of beta next week

Hi-Rez Studios have announced that their free-to-play hero shooter Paladins will leaving early access on 8 May 2018. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will award 200 Crystals to existing players.

Paladins Realm Royale closed alpha begins

Hi-Rez Studios are introducing a new game mode for Paladins. It will come as a standalone client separate from the main title. Don't expect "instant" invites until the closed alpha phase provides for some basic stability and balance.
