In an attempt to put a stop to allegations of health-threatening work environment in Rockstar, the company's human resources department lifted their no-work-talk policy on social media and let their employees speak openly on the issue.

Not long after Rockstar's Dan Houser unwittingly reported on the brutal crunch time culture in the company, their former employee Job J. Stauffer stated that working on GTA IV was like having a gun pointed at your head for 7 days a week.

Red Dead Redemption 2 preorder incentives include GTA Online cash

Rockstar's cross-promotion for Red Dead Redemption 2 through GTA V continues with not just exclusive items, but also GTA Online cash. Normally it would be a nice bonus for players in GTA V, except they are not eligible without a preorder.

Assassin's Creed Origins debuts at number one, surpassing its predecessor in revenue. Super Mario Odyssey became Nintendo’s sixth biggest launch ever. Grand Theft Auto V's sales were up by 129 percent thanks to Steam's Halloween sale.

FIFA18 pulls off retail chart hat-trick

FIFA 18 is at the top of the UK sales charts third week in a row. Warner Bros now have a total of three titles in the top 10. Destiny 2 is out of the top five for the first time since it launched, surprising no one except maybe Bungie.

Crash Bandicoot breaks top spot record

Crash Bandicoot set a record this week for most times at No1 in 2017 on the UK retail chart. Agents of Mayhem debuted at number four and City Skylines: PlayStation 4 Edition did better than its Xbox One counterpart, debuting at number 20.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy first again

Another week, another top spot for Crash Bandicoot. This is mostly impressive because the game is a single platform release. There are some surprises this week as Battlefield 1 and Horizon Zero Dawn re-enter the UK retail top ten.

SEPTEMBER 20

Real life DJs join GTA V in After Hours patch

Rockstar Games have released more After Hours content for GTA Online. Players will cross paths with Gay Tony once again, and will need to recruit more real life DJs for their newly opened night club. Oh and they added a military plane.

AUGUST 8

GTA Online to award more RDR 2 exclusives

One might think that Red Dead Redemption 2 had all the necessary publicity in the world due to all the hype, but Rockstar Games seem to disagree. Another batch of exclusive promo items for the game seems to be on their way to GTA Online.

Saudi Arabia banning 47 video games

The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia has announced that a 47 video games will be banned in the country for allegations that two children killed themselves over a mysterious game called the Blue Whale. Apparently, it's the last game you'll ever play.

GTA V is most downloaded PS4 game in June

Sony have posted their PlayStation Store charts for PlayStation 4, PSVR, free-to-play and PS Vita games and interestingly enough, H1Z1 has been downloaded more times than Fortnite: Battle Royale. GTA V wins on the PS4 side though.

GTA Online celebrates Independence Day

Rockstar's GTA Online is getting its own Independence Day festivities, with discounts, double payouts, guest list rewards and plenty more in store. In case you didn't know, you may have unknowingly signed up for the GTA Online Guest List.
