Red Dead Redemption 2's second gameplay trailer kicked in recently and showed many systems that the players might find interesting. For example, Morgan will have to monitor his hygiene and snitches, but he'll be able to get some recreation.

Hygiene seems to be rather important in Red Dead Redemption 2 as it will completely shift the interactions NPCs will have with Arthur Morgan. This was briefly shown in the second gameplay trailer, but an expanded search yielded impressive results. For example, if Morgan finishes a gunfight in the wilderness, he will likely come out bloody and muddy. This will cause NPCs in towns and villages to steer clear from him and limit the dialogue options Morgan has with them.

On the other hand, if he's clean and proper, Morgan will be able ot normally interact with the NPCs so that's another meter to keep filled up. Interacting with NPCs will not just be shallow one liners that you can't respond to for the most part, as NPCs can interact with Morgan before even engaging them. Gamespot, for example, killed a man in a swampy place where they thought they were all key and whatnot.

This turned out not to be the case, as the players got alerted that their crime was witnessed. Naturally, the witness started running in order to report the crime and get as far away from Morgan as possible. He eventually caught up with her and fired a warning shot, at which point the witness stopped moving and after a little persuasion agreed not to tell the authorities.

As it turns out, this was a feint and after the players let the witness go, she still reported Morgan which carred consequences. When Gamespot asked Rockstar if they could be sure whether their persuasion worked on a witness, they were told they could double down on the threat to make sure.

Not everything is just pent up anger and conflict in Red Dead Redemption 2 as players will be able to engage in more relaxing activities too. For example. they will be able to go fish in order to get their food or play games such as dominoes and poker.

The fan favourite from the first Red Dead Redemption, five finger fillet, is making a comeback as well. It is currently not certain whether the mechanics will be the same, which some fans are hoping for as they managed to earn hundreds of dollars with the minigame during John Marston's adventure.
