Panic Button is now in charge of porting Wolfenstein II over to the Switch. Bethesda officially confirmed the news via Twitter. The company said that more information will be available 'soon'. Id Tech 6 sure is compatible with Nintendo.

After porting Skyrim (again), Bethesda is at it once more. It's not Skyrim, put the pitchfork down. The latest game to get ported to the Switch is 2017's Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Bethesda chose Panic Button - the guys who worked on the DOOM port - to handle Wolfenstein II as well:

Panic Button's work on porting DOOM over to the Switch was widely praised so we think B.J. is in good hands. The company tweeted: "We’re happy to confirm our continued development partnership with @PanicButtonGame, who will be bringing Wolfenstein II to #NintendoSwitch. We're excited to share more information on #Wolf2 soon!"

Panic Button also had something to say: "We are excited to be working with @bethesda and @machinegames to bring the incredible @wolfenstein to the Nintendo Switch!"

You heard Bethesda, more info is coming soon.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was originally developed by MachineGames, and released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in October last year. The game sends its players to Nazi-controlled America on a mission to recruit the boldest resistance leaders left.

Players will fight the Nazis in some well known locations such as small-town Roswell, New Mexico, quarantined New Orleans, and a post-nuclear Manhattan. The game's arsenal of retro sci-fi weapons is fully upgradeable and includes the new "Dieselkraftwerk".

"The Wolfenstein franchise is all about over-the-top action, combat and storytelling," said Jens Matthies, Creative Director at MachineGames. "With The New Colossus, we pushed our creative boundaries even further, and we can’t wait for players to finally experience the next chapter of this wild ride."
