Black Lab Games revealed some rather exciting news for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector fans as they are looking at a new full faction, enemies and game mode in the near future.

It's a good time to be a Warhammer 40,000 fan as not only are we getting the first CRPG in the universe ever but Battlesector is expanding long before that game arrives.

First of all, there is the free update that went live around the time Warhammer Skulls showcase happened, bringing along a new unit for the minor faction of Sisters of Battle. The Penitent Engine serves as a horrific punishment for heretics in 40K but in the more practical terms, it's heavy infantry that supports your smaller units.

That is not all, however, as Adepta Sororitas are becoming a full-fledged faction over the course of the next few months and their DLC can now be wishlisted on Steam. Besides the Penitent Engine and the existing units, Sisters of Battle will feature the Immolator and Exorcist tanks once they arrive in full force.

On top of that, the devs announced a new game mode that will arrive alongside the DLC. While the new faction will be paid DLC, the new game mode will be free.

It will be called Daemonic Incursion, which is a fancy way of saying survival or horde mode. We will be battling endless waves of Chaos forces as we are attempting to achieve a high score ahead of our peers.

Just like the name suggests, these forces will comprise of daemons and the roadmap video above suggests we will be fighting Khorne's bloodthirsty crew.

Finally, there is also a hint for the faction that is in the plans after Sisters of Battle - Black Lab simply noted the enemy is cunning, which could mean we are getting Orks, particularly the worshippers of Mork. Or it could be a different faction altogether and have something to do with Tzeentch.
