Epic Megagames are keeping up with their recently established one game per week cadence, and this week it's Torchlight, Runic Games' awesome action-RPG from 2009, whose age takes nothing away from its charm. Next week's game is Limbo.
There's not much we can tell you about Torchlight that you either don't know or can't find out for yourself, as the game's a few months shy of being ten years old, but we'll try to anyway.
Torchlight players can choose between three hero classes - melee specialist Destroyer, spellcasting wielder of focus glove Alchemist and ranged specialist Vanquisher.
Additionally, you get a choice between dog, cat and ferret pets, which carry items, can be transformed by feeding them fish and are quite fun companions.
Torchlight players will be exploring randomised dungeons around the titular town, and having given it a spin last night after a while, we must say that Runic's game is still a blast.
Randomised dungeons are actually built with so-called modular chunks, i.e. pre-made chunks of the environment that are then procedurally assembled so as to achieve more functional design, while ensuring no playthrough is the same.
Should you happen to like Torchlight, you should know Runic followed it up in 2012 with an even better sequel. There's also Torchlight Frontiers, a free-to-play title that's expected to launch sometime in 2019, so if you like what you see, there's plenty of it to more to come. You can check out Frontiers in our gallery below.
Torchlight is available until 18 July 2019, after which it's time for Limbo, Playedead's delightful platformer from 2010, but it definitely qualifies as an oldie-but-goldie.
The whole Epic Games Store vs. Steam debate is eerily starting to resemble the 'debate' of whether reading books on paper is better than reading books on displays.
If you prefer to focus on content, then you can rest assured Sweeney and Co will fill up your library with some really quality titles by the end of 2019, and all that for free.
