Tactical Adventures announced that Solasta: Crown of the Magister will take part in the Steam Festival, starting on June 16, 2020 and it will feature character creation.
Tactical Adventures already let fans play demo of Solasta: Crown of the Magister but just like any other demo, the features and content in it were limited.
Come June 16, the devs will let players have another taste of the game through the demo that will be featured on Steam Festival Summer Edition. There will be two main parts to it - the character creation tool and Ruins of Telema Module 2.0.
Character creation was already seen on a dev diary video, embedded below, but Tactical Adventures wanted to let the fans experience it for themselves as opposed to just watching someone else's choices.
The second part of the demo is the return of the Ruins of Telema module. It is described as a 90-minute adventure that features a pre-made party of four adventures, all of whom are level three. According to the devs, this is a standalone module and will therefore not feature any spoilers for the main game.
One drawback here that you probably already spotted is that it seems character creation and Ruins of Telema will be completely separated. The characters in the latter will be pre-made nad the creation tool is all about seeing what options the players have.
In case you tried out the Ruins of Telema in a previous demo, you might want to give it another go in order to see all the updates at work. There are new character models, facial animations, spell effects and new features like the ability to use "Ready Action" in combat. The game is still in alpha though so everything is a work in progress.
Tactical Adventures will organise a stream where fans will be able to talk with them as well as an AMA on Discord. The Stream will be available on the Steam page on June 16 at 10:00 AM PDT / 7:00 PM CEST while the Discord AMA will happen on June 19 at 5:00 AM PDT / 2:00 PM CEST.
