Bethesda, id Software and Avalanche Studios are already aiming to release more Rage 2 content even though the game itself came out only a month before the announcement. The expansion will be called Rise of the Ghosts and will feature mechs.

Rage 2 has had a mixed to positive reception so far, mostly because it features great combat and colourful ways to dispose of your enemies. On the other hand, it didn't prove to be as good in other areas such as the story or content quality, with many describing it as a glorified checklist.

Bethesda and its developer studios, id Software and Avalanche, seem to be pushing in a similar direction with post content though as they announced Rise fo the Ghosts DLC that will feature more of what looks to be the same deal.

The wasteland will continue with its nutty antics with the addition of Sandworms that look a lot like Thresher Maws from Mass Effect games. Unlike BioWare, id Software gave the protagonist means to ruin the overgrown worm's day in several creative ways.

One of them will be the new cheat codes. Cheats and creativity usually don't mix but the Bloody Mess will make enemies explode into bloody pulps in a similar manner they did in Fallout series. Meanwhile, low gravity and rocket launchers will make Walker a veritable carpet bombing manplane that can rain fire on the fish bait.

Bethesda already announced these codes earlier but it is worth mentioning again that the Rejector Seat should prove a ton of fun. Ever watched those silly reloads where people eject a magazine, toss the gun and insert the same mag in a new gun? That's what Rejector Seat does, except with cars. You can see it in action 35 seconds into the video above.,

There will be a new pilotable mech for good measure so fighting the earthworms could turn into a proper battle of the Titans. Two new vehicles will be added as well but they are nowhere as fun as emulating Pacific Rim in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
