According to a job listing, Firesprite are staffing for their unannounced game, which is a narrative-driven horror adventure, built using Unreal Engine 5.
PlayStation studio Firesprite, which joined the family just a couple of months ago have several projects in the works and some interesting details for one of their titles have been revealed through a job listing on the official Firesprite website.
The job listing for a Narrative Director reveals that the new game is a narrative-driven horror adventure. Additionally, the listing reveals that Firesprite are using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5 for this horror title.
"We are looking for a Narrative Director to join our development team for a AAA narrative driven horror-adventure game in Unreal 5."
Other than the genre and engine reveal, the job listing does not mention anything juicy but it mentions that Narrative Director would be responsible for "the project storytelling, helping establish and consider the games universe and lore, with responsibility for the quality implementation of narrative content for project milestones and ultimately the game's release."
Given that the studio are still hiring for some key positions, it's safe to assume that the game is still a long way off but it's possible we see a CGI trailer later this year during PlayStation Games Showcase.
As with all titles from Sony's first-party studios, this horror game from Firesprite will end up being exclusive to the PlayStation platform.
Firesprite have worked on horror games before. Their VR title The Persistence was released in 2020 to mixed reviews from players. The game currently has 66 per cent positive reviews on Steam.
