PlayStation Plus has a time-limited offer for the new subscribers. If you get a 12 month subscription, you will receive a free code for Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition around "5-10 days after purchase" and a pat on the head

Sony just announced that patience is a virtue. I mean, they announced a new promo deal on the 12 month subscription for PlayStation Plus. See here: if you're not already a PlayStation Plus subscriber and you live in Europe, you're eligible for a free copy of Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition. And it will not cost you a dime.

Here's the deal. If you're a new subscriber to the PlayStation Plus service, and you get a 12 month subscription, there's a free copy of Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition in it for you. Or at least that is the case at the time of writing.

The subscription costs £40, and the game is currently listed at £30. If you choose to get the subscription, you'll receive a download code for the game around "5-10 days after purchase" according to Sony. The offer does not stand if you are an existing subscriber.

The unclear bit is the "for a limited time" disclaimer, and the claim that this deal is only available in Europe. What's crystal clear is the contents of the Ultimate Edition. There is the base game, four expansion packs, 11 added weapons, and 24 upgraded Star Cards.

The four expansions include: Outer Rim, Bespin, Death Star, and Rogue One: Scarif, and they feature new maps, game modes, and heroes. The base game is priced at around £15.50, with each expansion listed at around £12. That adds up to £60.

All this is a warm-up for Star Wars: Battlefront II, set to launch on 17 November 2017. The new game will launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will have a single-player campaign. The events of the game will bridge the 30 year gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Battlefront II's multiplayer will feature characters and locations from all eras of the Star Wars timeline.

Do you already own Star Wars: Battlefront for PlayStation 4? Are you a subscriber to the service? If yes, do you feel robbed considering the offer, and what's your take on ?
