Following the gem that is My Time at Portia, Epic's 15 Days of Free Games continues with another gorgeous example of video games - Night in the Woods.
According to the game's page, Night in the Woods' storyline is about:
"College dropout Mae Borowski returns home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But things aren't the same. Home seems different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are falling and the wind is growing colder. Strange things are happening as the light fades."
If you were to visit Night in the Woods' trophy cabinet, and we're not talking about in-game achievements, you'd find that the adventure has won BAFTA's Narrative award in 2018. And quite rightfully, if we may add - it never ceases to be amazing how easy it is to spin a deep and profound yarn with seemingly whimsical elements.
And as you'll see in the trailer, it doesn't get more whimsical than Night in the Woods. The quirky adventure features location upon location of beautiful and organic world-building prowess, courtesy of a small but well oiled team of developers.
It looks as if the leaked list of Epic Games Store's 15 Days of Free Games is spot-on from start to finish, which means the next game is Stranded Deep, a survival adventure by Beam Team Games.
"Take the role of a plane crash survivor stranded somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Come face to face with some of the most life threatening scenarios that will result in a different experience each time you play. Scavenge. Discover. Survive."
You can pick up Night in the Woods on Epic's Games Store website .
