2K have officially confirmed that their upcoming basketball simulation NBA 2K21 will be a launch title for both next-generation consoles - Xbox Series X and PlayStation 4.
2K have shared new details about their upcoming basketball simulation NBA 2K21 today. The publisher has officially confirmed that the game will be a launch title for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
This means that you will have a gorgeous-looking next-gen version of NBA 2K21 ready for download the moment you power up your new console this holiday.
Furthermore, if you plan to purchase the current-gen version once it releases on September 4 2020, you should know that purchasing the Mamba Forever Edition of the game will earn you a free copy of a standard edition of the next-gen version on the respective platform. The Mamba Forever Edition will cost £84.99.
The publisher has also explained that the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 will be built from ground up for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X but will still have cross-progression within the same console family. So yeah, all your MyTEAM Points, Tokens, cards and progress will be transferred from current to next-gen together with your VC, which is certainly a neat addition.
NBA 2K21 is officially hitting the shelves on September 4 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. For the next-gen version release date, we will have to wait for announcements from Sony and Microsoft, which are hopefully just around the corner.
