GTA IV is on its way back to Steam's virtual shelves, in the form of Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition. The new Edition will replace both Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City starting on 19 March 2020.

Back in January 2020, Rockstar pulled GTA IV from Steam citing issues with Games For Windows Live support. Today we got more news regarding the popular game and its Steam tenure.

Rockstar is making some changes to make sure players who claim ownership over Grand Theft Auto IV and GTA: Episodes from Liberty City can continue enjoying the titles.

New Players

Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition will replace both Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City starting on 19 March 2020. The switch will be made at every retailer that sells the digital version of the games.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition will additionally be available via the Rockstar Games Launcher.

Your current save files will be compatible with the new Complete Edition but some services will not:

  • Games for Windows Live
  • Multiplayer mode
  • Leaderboards

The following Radio Stations will be temporarily unavailable in Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition:

  • RamJam FM
  • Self-Actualization FM
  • Vice City FM (previously available in Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City)

You will be able to continue playing Grand Theft Auto IV with Japanese subtitles but will need to select another language to play Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City as the language is not supported for the latter.
