God of War Ragnarok Director Eric Williams has hinted that the game's ending will be very surprising to players but also inevitable at the same time.

In the recent interview with IGN, God of War Ragnarok Producer Cory Barlog and Director Eric Williams have talked about the development of the game and what players can expect from the game's story, which will be the end of God of War's Norse saga.

When speaking about the game's ending, Eric Williams, revealed that the team want to have  a surprising yet inevitable ending for the series

What exactly this means, it's hard to say at the moment but you can bet that SIE Santa Monica are preparing a truly memorable and emotional ending. Whether these comments hint at Kratos' death, which would be a huge moment for the franchise and its future, or something different, it remains to be seen.

We certainly would not mind if the next God of War game after Ragnarok tries something different in terms of gameplay and story - perhaps a trip to ancient Egypt for a change of scenery?

Sony Is God of War Ragnarok Kratos' final adventure? Is God of War Ragnarok Kratos' final adventure?

God of War Ragnarok is officially coming sometime in 2022. The game still does not have a specific release date but we know it's coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. It was initially scheduled to release in 2021 but SIE Santa Monica announced that they had to delay it to 2022.
