Tango Gameworks, the creators of Evil Within series unveiled their new project named GhostWire: Tokyo. It's an action adventure where players will have to explore the city and stop the supernatural forces that made people disappear.

On Bethesda's E3 2019 press conference, which took place today, Tango Gameworks, the studio you may know for the survival horror series Evil Within revealed their brand new IP, called GhostWire: Tokyo.

If you're a fan of Evil Within and expecting another survival horror game you'll be a bit disappointed as GhostWire: Tokyo is officially described as an action adventure game. However, the trailer does show some spooky moments, suggesting that the devs could add some of their special horror spice.

As for the gameplay, players will have to explore and travel all around the city while avoiding the evil supernatural forces that are randomly abducting people. As seen in the trailer, these supernatural villains use their dark powers to spawn all sorts of creepy creatures and it's up to players to defeat those and discover how to save the people of Tokyo.

"After strange disappearances hit Tokyo’s population, it’s up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before," it's written in the official statement.

Unfortunately, there is no sign of release date or platforms that GhostWire: Tokyo will release on. However, with Bethesda as a publisher, it's safe to assume that the game is set for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release. On the game's official website, there a download button for Bethesda Launcher, which could mean that GhostWire could be exclusive to the publisher's application.

More details about the game are expected throughout E3 2019 but don't get your hopes up on the release date as that's probably still way off. You can check the official website here, and follow the game's for any incoming news.
