Epic Games have finally lifted the veil off of Chapter 2 - Season 6: Primal, and the name is quite apt once you learn of the wildlife-infested, spreading new biome, crafting and...Neymar?
Yeah, we're a bit hazy on that but there's the name of Neymar Jr listed as part of the Fortnite: Primal Battle Pass, so we guess he'll be dribbling his way to victory. I literally just joked about the same scenario with Civ VI and Ronaldo, but what are the odds of Civ and Fortnite fans reading both, right?
Anyway, Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 6: Primal brings the conclusion to the Zero Crisis, which Epic are shaping into quite the narrative. The trailer is packed with cameos too, promising a season to remember.
"During the Zero Crisis Finale, Agent Jones and The Foundation (one of The Seven) sealed the Zero Point in a tower of stone. As the Zero Point was being contained, it sent a mysterious pulse across the Island, erasing any advanced technology in its path and reshaping the landscape of the Island", the dev wrote.
Fortnite players will notice that a primal biome spreads through the island, with a spire and a village at the centre of it. As the name suggests, it's infested with wilderness and if you happen to venture to its edges, you'll find "guardian spires protected by mysterious forces".
Crafting has arrived in Fortnite and Season 6: Primal allows for crafting of own weapons anywhere you'd like. There are some sweet, high-damage themed designs, like the Primal Rifle, the Revolver and powerful bows like the Flame and Metal Bow.
You'll be able to use the new weapons to do some hunting on the island, as Epic added a bunch of wildlife ranging from small prey like chickens, to wolves, which are more likely to see you as prey.
