Dragon Ball FighterZ is expanding its roster with the first two DLC characters, out of eight planned in total. The first two fighters jumping in will be Legendary Super Saiyan Broly and Goku's father, Bardock.

Bandai Namco's anime fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ is adding more Saiyans to the character pool, with Broly having been more or less expected, and Bardock who hasn't seen that much screen time on account pf being one of the few characters that didn't get resurrected in the series.

Bardock is similar in appearance to his son, Goku so this might look just like a reskin for the most familiar face of the series, but long time fans might find it pleasant to play with once again with the Saiyan who planted the seeds of Frieza's defeat. Literally.

The news originated in V-Jump and was transmitted via Gematsu, which described Broly's special attack as an enormous energy ball that uses three Ki gauges, named Gigantic Meteor. Bardock's special is called Revenger Assault that lets him transform into a Super Saiyan and deliver a rush attack.

Both characters are included in Dragon Ball FighterZ season pass, just as the six of the yet unannounced DLC characters. Bandai Namco hasn't put a price on single purchases yet but the season pass costs £29, and considering this is the bundle price, it is realistic to expect single character purchases to be £5 or more.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One but if you're trying to decide whether to get it for PC or a console, you might want to opt out for the latter. The PC player base recently went down by a staggering which may result in longer matchmaking times.
