Bungie have released a second trailer for Destiny 2's upcoming expansion called Forsaken and after Cayde-6's Last Stand of the Gunslinger comes the trailer that makes you want to avenge him, if you don't mind parting with another $40.

In case you didn't see The Last Stand of the Gunslinger trailer, we've included it below. It's actually really worth the watch regardless of whether you're a Destiny 2 fan or not and we honestly wish this is the sort of standard Bungie have been maintaining in their game too.

Anyway, Cayde-6 has met his destiny and kicked the proverbial bucket, leaving in his wake a task that must be done. No, I'm not taking about having to fork over another $40 to Bungie, even though you'll have to do that too - I'm talking about killing the man responsible, Uldren Sov.

Uldren Sov's toying with the Shard of the Traveller hints at him going for Guardian powers as well, although we're likely to find out more about his intentions soon. The trailer even has your Guardian speaking, which is the first time we've heard it since the original Destiny.

True to their words, finally, Bungie is going for a western revenge vibe in Forsaken and their taking of Destiny 2 to a "darker place" has really started off as dark as it can get. With Cayde-6 being one of few characters that brought light to what was devolving into a drab, lifeless game, it can't get darker than this.

As you're probably aware by now, Forsaken takes place on the Tangled Shore, where you'll be surrounded by the worst assassins and thieves in the universe. There's also the Dreaming City, which Bungie claim will have more bosses than any raid before it and great replayability.

Seeing as how Bungie's work, or lack thereof, resulted in Destiny 2 sliding into obscurity faster than you could say Warframe is your daddy, I do believe this may be the dev's last attempt to salvage it.

Destiny 2: Forsaken launches for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 04 September 2018.
