Bandai Namco's upcoming MMORPG Blue Protocol's Closed Beta Test will start very soon. Everyone who has secured themselves a spot in the test can download the game's client starting today.
Blue Protocol's Closed Beta Test is slated to start on 23 April but you can already download the game's client and the play guide today.
Downloading the Blue Protocol game client
You can download Blue Protocol's game client by following this link - the download should start immediately. From there, you'll just want to follow the usual install method of choosing the directory and clicking "install".
After the installation is complete, "BLUE PROTOCOL closed beta version" and "(DirectX11) BLUE PROTOCOL closed beta version" icons will appear on your desktop. You can click either icon to start the game launcher.
There's currently an issue that causes the menu display and page switching to not work as intended when browsing the play guide on a smartphone. The problem is being looked at but for the moment you'll want to browse the play guide using your PC.
Starting the game before the CBT kicks off
If you do this, the game client will start in full-screen mode and you will be greeted with a message saying that gameplay is not possible at this time. The way to close this window will be by either pressing Alt+Enter or the dreaded combination of Alt+F4.
Starting the game after the CBT has gone live
Just like when you installed the client, you'll want to click on either "BLUE PROTOCOL closed beta version" or "(DirectX11) BLUE PROTOCOL closed beta version" and press the game start button.
Blue Protocol will then look for and install the required updates and you will be able to proceed. The game's play guide will have answers for what to do after this step.
