Ubisoft seems to be ready to announced the release date for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora but it appears to be known already, along with multiple trailers and more.

With Massive Entertainment's newest game a few months out, we have compiled all the important info about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora just in case you missed something on the showcase train over the years.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Release date

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release date is November 18, 2022, according to a leak coming from an insider who has proven reliable over the course of years. This is almost one month earlier than the upcoming movie, Avatar 2: The Way of the Water, possibly to drive up the hype.

UPDATE: Ubisoft moved the release window to "2023-24" in their Q1 2022-2033 sales report . In a paragraph full of buzzwords, the company also noted that another, smaller unannounced premium game, would now be released in 2023-24 while it was previously planned for 2022-23, hinting the Avatar delay also affected the production of the unannounced game.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Gameplay

Ubisoft has released several trailers for Avatar so far and the fans were confused about whether this is a first-person (FPP) or third-person perspective (TPP) game. The answer is that Massive Entertainment is making an FPP Avatar game, which might come as a disappointment to many who wanted to see their Na'Vi.

Ubisoft has confirmed that mounts will be present in the game, including banshees and dragons. While mounted, the camera will shift to TPP, which will give you the opportunity to check your Na'Vi out.

Unlike the 2009 game, you will not be able to choose your faction - Na'Vi are the protagonists of Frontiers of Pandora.

Here is a bunch of trailers that were released so far, offering glimpses of gameplay in the process.

Singleplayer or multiplayer?

While Massive Entertainment are known for their online multiplayer games such as The Division series, they are creating a single-player title this time around.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Story

Frontiers of Pandora, just like the name suggests, will see the Na'Vi fighting back against the humans who invaded their moon, as opposed to trying to retreat like in the first movie. It has been suggested this will lead us to different locales that have not been seen before and since Massive Entertainment are pretty amazing at creating environments, we are in for a treat.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Platforms

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.

If you're not familiar with it, Luna is basically Amazon's version of Stadia. However, Amazon and Ubisoft have partnered up, meaning that the service will get Avatar on day one and players don't need to pay any extra costs on top of the cloud gaming subscription. It is currently only available in the US.
