Whether you are AFK farming or farming AFK-ers in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, a time may soon come where that will no longer be an option. Bluehole Studio are currently looking into the matter before it gets out of hand.
You might just run into some AFK farmers logging into a match of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. The idea behind the practise is that players will get in-game currency simply by virtue of being there, so logging on and leaving a character to die is a low-yield but workable way of making money without playing.

Speaking to , Bluehole Studio have confirmed that they are looking for ways to combat this behaviour. As of now, the developers say that it isn't a very common occurrence, but when more players figure out that they can get in-game cash while being in the shower it may become a problem.
It would definitely be wise for the developers to take care of this issue sooner rather than later, considering that PUBG is very close to selling 9 million copies at the time of writing, according to .

The game has now been in Steam Early Access since 23 March 2017, which makes the established publisher wisdom of a game sells most of its copies a week after launch seem a little hollow when looking at PUBG's impressive sale figures in the past 5 months.
