One million cheaters banned from PUBG

PUBG's problem with cheaters is still growing in spite ever tightening anti-tamper measures. BattlEye's Twitter account reported that more than one million players had been banned in January 2018 alone. More measures are on the way.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has released its additional map without adding the option for players to choose which one they get to play. While Bluehole were trying to make Miramar more appealing, players have already found ways to skip the map entirely.

One has to wonder whether PUBG Corp regrets announcing the latest update to their game, seeing as how the changes to the crate system sparked controversy around whether it constitutes gambling. Responses from the ESRB and U.K. Gambling Commission have been underwhelming, reiterating concerns without any actual action.

PUBG revamps player reporting system

It seems as if public outcry over the number of cheaters in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has finally made the company take notice, so the upcoming update will be looking to address some of these problems. The update is being tweaked on the test servers and should bring a number of improvements on all fronts, from graphics and general performance to the crate box system.

PUBG's first post-launch update

PUBG's PC version got its first post-launch update. The dev team took to Steam to explain why lag and rubber-banding are so difficult to get rid of. After the patch, the team will continue to monitor the servers.

PUBG Corp CEO says 2018 will be big

Hot on the heels of PUBG's official launch, CEO of PUBG Corp, CH Kim, said they're not sitting on their laurels, quite the contrary, as the team is already aiming to have PUBG featured in esports events. The launch came dangerously close to spilling over into 2018 but Kim didn’t really seem like worried - in fact it appears the company has a firm grip on things. Anyhow, let’s see what we can expect from PUBG in the year to come.

Tencent porting PUBG to mobile

Tencent and PUBG Corp have joined forces to bring PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to mobile devices all over China. A worldwide release has not yet been confirmed. The port is making "very good progress".
