One of the fundamental aspects of Sea of Stars, the latest RPG adventure with turn-based mechanics from Sabotage Studio, is the art of solving puzzles.
The ability for our heroes, Zale and Valere, to manipulate time is a mechanic that becomes accessible in the later stages of the game. This power allows them to summon both sunlight and moonlight, which will play a crucial role in solving numerous puzzles throughout their journey.
An example of a puzzle, seemingly of slightly higher difficulty, is situated in the Autumn Hills region. Progressing through the narrative requires solving a puzzle connected to the manipulation of moonlight in this area. Should you encounter difficulties with this particular puzzle, the solution is provided here.
How to solve moonlight puzzle in Autumn Hills and how to beat the Leaf Monster boss
Following a relatively straightforward puzzle that entails activating a gate with sunlight, you will come across a flute-playing samurai character. This samurai will present you with a riddle containing two essential phrases: "moonlight and leaves."
Utilise the time manipulation capability by pressing the L2 and R2 keys until the moon becomes visible in the sky. This action will result in the emergence of a white medallion on the ground.
You'll observe heaps of leaves strewn across the arena. To tackle this puzzle, your task is to amass all the leaves into a single pile within the white medallion. Employ the Mistral Bracelet ability (activated by pressing the square button) to gather the leaves. Once all the leaves are gathered, they will turn into a boss called the Leaf Monster.
Distinguishing itself from other bosses in the game, this particular boss exhibits immunity to the majority of your attacks. However, there's a vulnerability window when it becomes "bared," indicated by the boss hurling a flurry of leaves your way. During this phase, you're open to vulnerability for a span of three moves. The optimal approach involves building up momentum until this state ensues. This entails employing basic attacks that won't inflict damage but will generate live mana orbs, which you should refrain from collecting until the boss initiates a rolling leaf assault against you.
Once the boss becomes "naked," seize all the mana orbs from the ground and unleash your strongest attacks upon it. Each of your three characters will possess a complete mana point count at this juncture. Employ this strategy repeatedly, around two to three times, and you will emerge victorious over the Leaf Monster.
