Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats have been known for quite a while due to them being the same on all platforms. On the other hand, using them on PC is slightly different so here is a guide on where to find and how to use cheats, along with the full list of them.
Where to find Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats
Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats are slightly different than those in other games. The main difference is that you can't use them until you find the corresponding newspaper. Here is the list of newspapers and where to buy them:
- New Hanover Gazette - bought in Annesburg and Valentine
- Saint Denis Times - bought in St. Denis and Rhodes
- Blackwater Ledger - bought in Blackwater and Strawberry
Upon buying a newspaper, you can either inspect the footnote of an article close to the bottom of a page or consult the list of cheats below. Seeing it on the newspaper you purchased will give you a better sense of what you unlocked though.
Using the cheats is unfortunately not as simple as typing in HESOYAM while roaming the world. You will need to go to Main Menu, navigate to Settings and click on "Cheats". Then simply type in the cheat of your choosing.
Cheat list
Be careful when typing the cheats in. You don't need capitalise the letters properly but don't forget to use full stops, exclamation marks and commas as necessary. There are 37 cheats in total:
- Abundance is the dullest desire - Infinite ammo
- Greed is American virtue - Heavy weapon set
- A simple life, a beautiful death - Basic weapon set
- Death is silence - Stealth weapon set
- History is written by fools - Collectible weapon set
- Vanity. All is vanity - Unlocks all outfits
- Share - Unlocks all camp upgrades
- Eat of knowledge - Unlocks all crafting recipes
- Greed is now a virtue - Adds $500
- You revel in your disgrace, I see - Gives the minimum Honor
- Balance. All is balance - Gives the neutral Honor
- Virtue unearned is not virtue - Maximum Honor
- Guide me better - Dead Eye level 1
- Make me better - Dead Eye level 2
- I shall be better - Dead Eye level 3
- I still seek more - Dead Eye level 4
- I seek and I find - Dead Eye level 5
- Be greedy only for foresight - Infinite Dead Eye
- The lucky be strong evermore - Infinite stamina
- Seek all the bounty of this place - Permanent increase to health, stamina and Dead Eye
- You flourish before you die - Fills up health, stamina and Dead Eye
- You seek more than the world offers - Fills up all bars and all cores
- My kingdom is a horse - Increase horse bond level
- Better than my dog - Can call up horse from any distance
- Run! Run! Run! - Spawns a race horse
- You are a beast built for war - Spawns a war horse
- Would you be happier as a clown? - Spawns a circus wagon
- You want more than you have - Spawns an Arabian horse
- You want something new - Spawns a random horse
- Keep your dreams simple - Spawns a wagon
- The best of the old ways - Spawns a stage coach
- Keep your dreams light - Spawns a horse-drawn buggy
- You want punishment - adds Wanted level
- You want freedom - removes Wanted level
- You want everyone to go away - removes bounties and notoriety
- A fool on command - Makes Arthur drunk
- You long for sight and see nothing - Reveals the whole map
