How to complete Mechanic's Psycho Sniper task
Mechanic's Psycho Sniper task requires you to reach level 8 Sniper Rifle skill level and as a reward, you will get 26,700 EXP, +2 Intellect skill levels, +2 Perception skill levels, +1 Stress Resistance skill level, Mechanic Rep +0.03, 150,000 Roubles, and it unlocks barter for Kalashnikov AK-104 7.62x39 assault rifle (variant T-SAW) at Mechanic LL3.
The task requires you to use a bolt-action sniper rifle, and there are currently seven you can choose from: the VPO-215, T-5000, MOSIN, LAPUA, M700, SV-98, and the DVL-10. Additionally, it is important to mention that in order to start this task, you must be at least level 35.
You can level your sniper rifle skill level by simply hitting shots on both SCAVs and PMCs without killing them, as long as the shot lands. Make sure to execute PMCs as fast as possible, as real players will react faster and punish you for a sloppy job.
Additionally, reloading your sniper rifle will also count toward increasing your skill level. What you can do is start a raid and spend the first few minutes just reloading your weapon, and then after that, pick the bullets back up for that extra progression.
The MOSIN unload action also counts toward the sniper rifle skill level, and it is the fastest (and most tedious) way of leveling for newer players. It is important to mention that the MOSIN unload action will only work if you do not have the appropriate mag attached.
