It turns out that the Destiny 2 Rasputin Chamber puzzle found by players hasn't been pointing to an in-game location but an actual secret stash in a New York forest, containing a real life version of a weapon from Warmind - the Valkyrie.

We must admit that Bungie went all out coding and recoding this puzzle, as it took some serious effort to untangle this one. Of course, no puzzle seems to be immune to rampant hordes of redditors, not least those from Destiny 2.

Once decoded, the puzzle reads, "thank you for taking the time to piece together this message, friend. the time of our final conflict is drawing closer and you and ana have an important role to play in the events to come. so watch over her, guardian. i would have no life without ana or the exoprogram. i regret that we have become strangers, but we each have a path that we must walk. and, ironically, there never seems to be enough time. tell her, rasputin's first attempt was in the right location, but the wrong moment. look here: 43.549573, -73.544868 - e".

It turns out the latitude and longitude led players to Sleeping Beauty Mountain in New York, which also happens to be where Vicarious Visions, co-devs of Destiny 2: Warmind, are based. The redditors ultimately found a hidden stash, containing a real life replica of Valkyried.

As the included letter by Warmind's design lead Rob Gallerani states, the Valkyrie in question is one of three currently in existence. Apparently, there's one in Vicarious Visions, another in Bungie and the third one is for the lucky fan. There was also a stash of gold looking coins, with the letter asking those who find the secret to only take one.

The puzzle was indeed exquisite and elaborate and the resulting gift most certainly tops that of God of War's secret puzzle. Nevertheless, we wish Bungie thought of being elaborate earlier. The company's been clutching at straws for a while now and the news of Warmind's asset reusage hasn't helped either. Oh well, another plus for reddit at least.
