Having recently informed WoW Classic players that those who create characters on certain servers will experience severe queues, as well as advising players to move off of Herod, Faerlina and Whitemane PvP realms, Blizzard now announced that four more realms will be opened today.
Of course, today depends on where you're located, and Blizzard wrote that the following realms are opening on 26. August 2019 at 7:00pm, where the rightmost column indicates the timezone of course.
- Incendius PvP Eastern
- Bigglesworth PvP Pacific
- Old Blanchy Normal Pacific
- Westfall Normal Eastern
Moreover, Blizzard will be removing one of the safeties, which limited players to three WoW Classic characters.
"We will remove the limitation on only creating a total of three WoW Classic characters per WoW account. Thereafter, players will be able to create up to 10 characters per Classic realm, for a total of 50 characters across all Classic realms per WoW account", Blizzard wrote.
Unfortunately, WoW Classic players whose realms have a Full or High population tag will still be experiencing some hefty queues, with some suggesting this may be several hours or even more. In this case, switching to less populated realms seems like an infinitely wiser thing to do.
Nevertheless, Blizzard are hoping they can address at least part of the problem organically.
"We urge players on realms marked Full or High to plan to play on one of these new realms to avoid the longest queues, and to help spread the player population as evenly as possible and provide the best play experience for everyone", they said.

If you're wondering about free character transfers in WoW Classic, there's good and bad news. The good news is that Blizzard are likely to implement it at some point, but it definitely won't be at launch.
