Nacon and Cyanide unveiled a gameplay trailer for the upcoming Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, revealing the action and stealth possibilities when you are a garou.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood has been described as an action game which may have put some World of Darkness fans off since they are used to the universe's connection to roleplaying but if the latest trailer is anything to go by, the game certainly deserves a chance.
The six-minute video showcases the abilities of the protagonist, Cahal, who can assume three forms, each with certain benefits. For example, the human form is used for interacting with other humans or stealthily dispatching enemies. Meanwhile, the wolf form is used for stealthily sneaking around and scouting areas while Crinos, the werewolf form, is used for open combat.
While in Crinos form, the players can choose between two stances initially, one for agility and control over the battlefield and the other for powerful attacks against enemies commonly described as turtles in gaming. When Cahal gets enough rage, he can enter the frenzied stance which has the positive sides of both other stances but he can't use abilities.
If that sounds good, taking a look at the gameplay video below should confirm that sentiment as this is basically what we all wanted from the werewolf form in TES V: Skyrim.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on February 4, 2020.
