Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has recently been announced and Paradox Interactive are already working hard to bring in as many fans as possible, with the latest enticing announcement being the support for mods and RTX features.

Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs have their work cut out for them if they aim to make Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 a source of joy that can hope to measure up to the original game. So far, they have made some great choices as the original writer, Vandal Clea...err, Brian Mitsoda, as well as Chris Avellone.

Now, it has been announced that the game will support mods, which may not be much of a surprise due to Paradox Interactive  towards the feature lately but now it is official. The official did not state whether the mod support will be available at launch or added later on though.

Considering that mods are one of the reasons why people keep reinstalling the original Bloodlines to this day at the sole mention of the name, it probably wasn't too hard a decision to make for Paradox, as the feature will almost undoubtedly provide the singleplayer game longevity that pretty much every developer and publisher want.

Sadly, there is no telling how much of the game will be moddable and what the mod support will entail, but all things considered, we can expect the creative community minds to keep the experience fresh for years to come, much like they did with Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series.

Meanwhile, NVidia announced a partnership between themselves and Paradox, which should make sure high-end GPU owners get as much eye candy as possible. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will feature real-time raytracing to make the game prettier but ruin your FPS, but DLSS technology will also be present, to counteract the frame rate drop as much as possible.
