Hardsuit Labs and Paradox Interactive are teasing more clans for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 and Tremere are the latest addition. They are the usurper mages, often looked down on by Camarilla, whom they actually helped a few times.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 recently teased Brujah who revel in the increased physical attributes they gained in undeath, but this time around we are seeing a clan of vampires who run counter to that philosophy.
Tremere do not rely on their physical prowess that much and prefer to let magic do the work. The trailer above teases their power to manipulate blood of their prey or enemies and while it's a powerful ability to command, it is far from the only one they have up their sleeve.
For example, Tremere vampires in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will have two Disciplines - Thaumaturgy and Auspex.
Thaumaturgy is the teased power to control blood. Skewer is the first Thaumaturgy active ability that will launch a small portion of the vampire's Vitae at the enemies' feet, which will then erupt in a storm of sharp spikes, damaging them.
Purge is the second Thaumaturgy active that allows the caster to make their victims vomit blood, inflicting heavy damage in the process.
Blood Boil will let the Tremere cast Purge again on the affected targets, making the blood in their vessels sear. The boiling blood will cause the victim to explode and deal damage in a large area.
All the blood spilt from Thaumaturgy abilities will stream back to the caster. Needless to say, using these powers in front of witnesses is a violation of the Masquerade.
Using Auspex abilities is not, however, since they are not obvious. Aura Sense will allow Tremere to have a bona fide wall hack as they can sense other beings through walls and other obstacles.
Psychic Projection will further enhance their scouting abilities since it will allow the caster to leave their body for a brief period, exploring an area in their astral form.
