We will have to wait around 29 days from the time of writing before it happens as that's when the Halloween sale will kick-off, followed by Autumn sale, not a month later and then Winter sale in the following month.
Currently, the Steam sale schedule is:
- Halloween Sale - October 29 to November 2
- Autumn Sale - November 25 to December 1
- Winter Sale - December 22 to January 5, 2021
Considering the obscene amount of great games coming out in November 2020, it is possible we will get some minor discounts on some of them, caused in part by Autumn or Winter sales. These include Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Watch Dogs: Legion.
Only two out of those four games will be on Steam at that time, since AC: Valhalla and WD: Legion will be available only on Epic Games Store and uPlay.
However, EGS has a tendency to issue out discount coupons to battle the popularity of Steam sales from time to time so it's possible they might try a similar stunt during these periods.

By the time Winter Sale kicks in, all of these games will have been over a month old and are, therefore, likely to have some minor discounts applied on all their eligible storefronts.
