Rockstar Games has finally committed to a release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 - October 26th, 2018. After several delays, the firm today announced that it will continue to polish the western adventure until later this year.
Time to get your calendars out for booking days off... has finally put an official launch date to its long-awaited and oft-delayed Red Dead Redemption 2, October 26th. Luckily for most of us, that's a Friday!
The firm has been coy about release dates ever since it first revealed it was working on a successor to the masterful Red Dead Redemption, and PS4 and Xbox One fans have been assured that the extra time has been spent making the most of the power the systems offer. (No word on a PC version, mind you.)
Rockstar just posted on its site:
"Dear All,
We are excited to announce that will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.
We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.
With thanks,
Rockstar Games"
To add to the joy of solid news, a host of sumptuous new screenshots were posted too.
