The next game in the popular action-adventure series will be called Assassin's Creed Infinity and it's "a massive online platform that evolves over time."

Ubisoft's biggest franchise, Assassin's Creed , is set to receive a massive overhaul, that will change the future of the franchise in an unexpected way. According to Bloomberg, Ubisoft are currently working on a brand new Assassin's Creed game named Infinity, which will be a live service title with the evolving world.

Infinity will be the biggest Assassin's Creed game ever with a massive online platform that will receive changes over time. The report also states that the game will feature multiple settings.

Here is the most interesting bit about the game from the report:

A new project, which is known inside Ubisoft Entertainment SA by the code name Assassin’s Creed Infinity, sets out to create a massive online platform that evolves over time, according to people familiar with its development. Whereas previous Assassin’s Creed games each unfolded in specific historical settings such as ancient Greece or Ptolemaic Egypt, Infinity will contain multiple settings with room to expand to others in the months and years following its debut. Individual games on the platform might look and feel different, but they will all be connected.

Additionally, it's confirmed in the report that Ubisoft Montreal and Quebec are both working on Assassin's Creed Infinity, which is still years away so don't expect it anytime soon.
