CD Projekt Red have announced the main theme of the next episode of Night City Wire, and the fifth episode is all about Cyberpunk 2077's bad boy and rocker extraordinaire, Johnny Silverhand.

Fans and prospective players can check out the Episode 5 of Night City Wire on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 6:00pm CET.

"Get ready for episode 5 of Night City Wire! We’ll talk about our favourite rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, share a variety of Night City's tunes and a lot more. It's going to be a big one", CDPR wrote.

In other words, get ready for a night filled with everyone's darling, Keanu "Breathtaking" Reeves, and his depiction of Silverhand, a character so deeply etched in the lore of Cyberpunk that it cannot be overstated.

Born as Rober John Under, Silverhand took part in the Second Central American War, ultimately deserting his position to return home. We're talking about a conflict that took place from 2003 to 2010, when the US invaded South American countries of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

Unfortunately for the invading forces, the war had failure written all over it from the start, culminating in the US' abandoning of more than half a million civilians in Panama, who ended up walking their way home, or at least trying to.

This is where Silverhand's nickname comes from, as his cybernetic arm replacement stuck with him in more ways than one.

Having built a successful rock career home, Silverhand's penchant for trouble got him in a decade-long row with Arasaka, which would ultimately be the end of him. Well, his body was never found, so people kept hope, and this is when Cyberpunk 2077's tale of Johnny Silverhand begins.
