Earlier today, CD Projekt Red released a patch for next-generation consoles, and while the save games are transferable, trophies and achievements are not.
After a year and a half, finally, some light shone on Cyberpunk 2077 fans as CD Project Red dropped a major patch for Next-gen consoles.
As with many cross-gen games, players will be able to transfer their save games from the old generation to the new, however, trophies and achievements will not be transferable from PS4 to PS5, which was not received with enthusiasm by the PS4 players.
The reason behind this is that the next-gen version is treated as a separate game by Sony, and a similar scenario happened for many cross-gen games as the trophy system between Sony's generation of consoles is totally different.

How to transfer save games from PS4 version to PS5
Navigate to the game on your PS5 and click three dots on the free PS5 upgrade box that will appear on your right side (if you own the game of course). From there, you will be redirected to the PlayStation Store to buy the PS5 version, however, as an owner of the PS4 version, you will not be charged.
Complete the purchase and then select to download the Native PS5 version of Cyberpunk. The full PS5 size is 56 GB. Once the game is downloaded, the next step depends on whether you previously played the PS4 version on PS5 or not.
If you did, you'll have to first update the PS4 version of the game, after which you will be able to upload a save game to the cloud in order to import it inside the PS5 version.
Two quick notes, you won't be needing PlayStation Plus which is usually needed for Cloud saves, and you will have to move saves one by one this way, as moving them all at once is not an option.
If you have played the PS4 version on your PS5, then it's a much easier process and all you have to do is update to the new PS5 version, and all your saves should be automatically transferred.
Transfering save games on XBOX
Owners of the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One can use the Smart Delivery system for an automatic free upgrade to the Next-Gen version on Xbox Series X|S. Smart delivery will copy the save games on the user's behalf, so it's a pretty straightforward deal.
Disc version owners on Xbox One will be able to claim the free upgrade on Xbox Series X.
If you do not own any version of Cyberpunk 2077, this is a good chance to try it out as there is an option of a Free trial for one whole month starting today and is available until March 15th.
