Beamdog, the developer behind Enhanced Editions of classic RPGs such as Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale and Bladur's Gate, are currently working on a game from their own IP.
Beamdog have brought us some great remasters over the last several years. From Neverwinter Nights, to three Baldur Gates games as well as Icewind Dale and PlanetScape Torment, their Enhanced Editions have brought many improvements over the beloved originals.
And while Beamdog certainly are not done with remasters, the team is also looking to release a game from their own IP. When asked about the future projects by a Beamdog forum member, Beamdog's Community Manager Julius Borisov confirmed that the studio are currently working on a new project.
"While the door on remasters hasn't been totally shut, currently Beamdog is working on a new game, its own IP. No details have been shared yet," he wrote on the official Beamdog forum .
Interestingly, it seems that the studio are open to more remasters but judging by the wording, they will prioritise their own project before remasters which is certainly an understandable position.
At the moment, the details about Beamdog's new game are pretty scarce. We do not know if the team will be working on an RPG title or something completely different. Whatever the game is, we really can't wait to see what the devs have in store and sincerely hope Beamdog deliver a great title.
