Heroes of the Storm is a mashup of many recognisable faces from several Blizzard games, including World of Warcraft. HotS already featured one King of Stormwind and the game will soon receive the current on - Anduin Wrynn himself.

King Anduin Wrynn may have his hands full dealing with tree-burning undead as well as bloodthirsty doggos in his own court that want to take revenge on said anti-nature zombies, but he apparently found some time to join an interdimensional battle arena where he could potentially fight with or against his father, Varian Wrynn.

Heroes of the Storm's recent PTR notes confirmed the teaser posted on Heroes of the Storm Twitter. Anduin will be joining the roster as a healer hero.

The king's trait will be Leap of Faith which will allow him to pull an allied hero to his location, granting them Unstoppable during the traversal. It could be used as a get out of jail free card but has an 80 second cooldown so it's best not to rely on it too often.

Anduin's basic abilities are Flash Heal, Divine Star and Chastise. Flash Heal has a cooldown of four seconds and heals for 260 which should provide a consistent health sustain.

Divine Star will act like a bouncing projectile that can hit enemies for 140 damage and heals allies in its path upon returning to Anduin. The healing is initially 130 but increases by 25 per cent for each enemy hit.

Chastise is a fairly straight up crowd control ability. Anduin shoots a light projectile that hits an enemy hero, causes 145 damage and roots them for 1.25 seconds.

Anduin's heroic abilities are what will probably make him a powerhouse in team fights though. Holy Word: Salvation will let the king channel for three seconds, healing nearby allies for up to 25 per cent of their maximum health and giving them Protected.

Lightbomb is on the offensive side of things though, making an ally a tanky walking bomb. It imbues an allied hero with Light that will explode after 1.5 seconds. Then it deals 150 damage to enemies and stuns them for 1.25 seconds. Meanwhile, the allied hero gains 150 damage reduction per attack for five seconds.

The next update will bring a pile of cosmetics too, which you can read about on the official PTR patch notes .
