ARC Raiders is a newly released extraction shooter from Embark Studios. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
As you progress through the levels in ARC Raiders, you slowly unlock features like the Trials, which are in-game point-based weekly challenges that are refreshed every week. By earning three stars and points in these challenges, you can climb through the ranks to earn exclusive rewards.
Each week Embark adds a new set of challenges for players to complete and climb up their leaderboards. The Season 2 Week 8 trials are live now, and here's a comprehensive guide on how to earn 3 stars in this week's trials.
What are Trials in ARC Raiders?
Trials is the unofficial rank system in ARC Raiders, which is unlocked at player level 15. Once unlocked, players have to earn points by completing challenges every week and climb up the leaderboards. By earning stars, players can earn exclusive rewards.
The challenges are usually divided into three stages, which are marked by stars. By earning points you can get stars, and each challenge has a limit of 3 stars. For each star, players get a reward, with a total of three rewards for completing a challenge.
By earning points you can earn a position in the leaderboard of 100 players in the same rank. Getting into the top 20 of the leaderboard will earn you a 2x promotion to the next ranks. With 1x promotion allocated for the next 30 positions. The bottom 20 players of the leaderboard are demoted to the previous rank.
How to Get 3 Stars in Season 2 Week 8 Trials in ARC Raiders
Like every week, this week's trials have five challenges players must complete to climb up the leaderboard. These challenges are quite easy, but you have to follow some simple strategies to effectively finish them without wasting your important resources. Here's an in-depth guide on how to get 3 stars in Season 2 Week 8 trials in ARC Raiders:
Deal damage to Shredders
Shredders only spawn on Stella Montis. Your best bet at completing this challenge will be to play Stella Montis. Drop into a 2x enabled Night Raid on Stella Montis and look for Shredders to get 3 stars in this challenge. You can find Shredders roaming Medical Research, Sandbox, Lobby, and Assembly POIs.
Search First Wave Husks
First-wave husks are usually found in all maps in ARC Raiders; however, there's an abundance of these husks in Dam Battlegrounds and the Spaceport.
The first map for finding first-wave husks is Dam Battlegrounds. There's an abundance of first-wave husks near the Red Lake and Old Battleground POI of the map. Here are the locations of the husks in Dam Battlegrounds:
The second-best map for finding first-wave husks is the Spaceport. In Spaceport, you'll find Baron Husks and other first-wave husks near the outskirts of the map. Here are the locations of the husks in Spaceport:
Aside from these two maps, you can also find first-wave husks in the Broken Earth POI of Blue Gate. There's a Baron Husk in that location, which is accompanied by other smaller husks like Rocketeer and Wasp husks. Usually, with the Husk Graveyard map modifier, an increased number of first-wave husks spawn all around the map, which can make your search for first-wave husks easier.
Damage Rocketeers
You can use Rocketeers in almost all maps in the game. However, the best mode and map to do it on is Locked Gate on the Blue Gate map. There are 4 Rocketeers at a time in Blue Gate; you can find two of them over Pilgrim's Peak, one for Reinforced Reception, and one near Raider's Refuge. Taking these four Rocketeers out can help you get 3 stars easily. The best way to deal with Rocketeers is by using Wolfpack grenades.
Damage Leapers
Leapers are also prevalent on almost all maps in the game. Your best bet at completing this challenge is by playing Night Raid on Dam Battlegrounds or Locked Gate on the Blue Gate map. On Dam Battlegrounds, you can find a Leaper roaming Red Lake or areas surrounding Testing Annex and one near the Water Treatment extraction point. On the other hand, during Locked Gate you can find a Leaper near Adorned Wreckage and another one near Ancient Fort. Taking one Leaper out can get you 3 stars easily.
Destroy Fireballs
Fireballs are mostly found indoors, so your best bet at taking them out will be by playing maps like Stella Montis and Blue Gate. You can find Fireballs in almost all POIs of Stella Montis. On the other hand, during Locked Gate, you can find Fireballs patrolling the underground tunnels of Blue Gate. Taking 6-8 Fireballs out can net you a 3-star in no time.
Getting 3 stars with decent points in trials will guarantee you a spot in the top 20 of the leaderboard. Remaining in the top 20 will also allow you to jump 2 ranks once the trials are refreshed for next week.
