Shenmue 3 is trucking on with the updates and the latest one, patch 1.04, brought along some fixes, gameplay adjustments and the Battle Rally DLC that will offer a new activity for Ryo Hazuku. Furthermore, backer passwords for exclusive content have been activated.

Shenmue 3 has had a lot of controversy leading up to its release but the low sales numbers may have nothing to do with it. However, it is quite odd that the game couldn't outsell even the remasters of the first two games with a poor opening.

Ys Net released an updated blog post on Shenmue III Kickstarter page earlier, stating that they can't promise Steam codes to the backers and those who switched to the PlayStation 4 version will not be eligible for a refund.

Ys Net, the developer of action adventure Shenmue 3, have been facing some criticism over the game's switch to the Epic Games Store, which left some of their Kickstarter backers fuming. In their latest post, they said they'll look into it.
