The latest job opening on Rockstar's website suggests that the company may have plans to announce a brand new title soon. Rockstar are looking for a video editor to edit video game trailers of the highest standard.
It's been seven years since the last Grand Theft Auto game and no wonder why many players are eagerly awaiting the news about the eighth major instalment in one of the most popular series of all time. As always, there are a lot of rumours floating around but Rockstar are yet to officially confirm or announce anything regarding the new Grand Theft Auto game.
However, by the looks of it, they could do it pretty soon. According to the latest job opening on Rockstar's website, the company is looking to hire someone to create game trailers of the highest quality. Many would say that Rockstar often release trailers for GTA V DLCs but the description of the job opening feels a bit different.
Rockstar are looking for "a highly capable and experienced video editor", who can work with a team to "capture game footage and edit video game trailer to the highest standard". The ideal candidate needs to be able to craft "a compelling narrative" and "communicate the emotional content and excitement of a game within a 60-second format."
Of course, it's entirely possible that Rockstar Games are hiring someone to work on trailers for GTA or Red Dead DLC. Nothing is confirmed so take all rumours and speculation with a grain of salt.
The latest Grand Theft Auto VI rumours suggested that the game will have two playable characters, is set in Vice City and a new city based on Rio de Janeiro. Rumours also suggest that the game is set between 1970 and 1980 and the main character is mixed up in the drug trade.
Earlier reports also claim that GTA VI will release sometime in 2021 or 2022.
