GTA Online's Doomsday Heist DLC brought more surprises than we initially thought. Team Guru discovered a Red Dead Redemption 2 themed treasure hunt within the update's code. The end of the hunt might finally reveal the name of the poor soul that lies in the unmarked grave in GTA V.
Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't have a set release date yet, but that won't stop it from having its own scavenger hunt in its "sister" game - GTA V. Here's the news: members of Team Guru made a name for themselves by digging through GTA’s game files and solving mysteries.
They recently "did it again": they found a mysterious new scavenger hunt buried deep in the files. The hunt is not live yet, so calm your horses and let's quietly go through what we know.

First, there is talk of some kind of a "headshot challenge". The dug up text tells players that completing said challenge will grant them access to a special revolver in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The next item to be dug up is a locked wooden chest and a handwritten note. Aww. The chest is marked with a company name and logo that say: Boles Overland Stagecoach Co. The note mentions a treasure and calls its readers a bad word.
According to the mission’s coding, players need to find a "gold-plated-six-shooter". This quest will probably lead the players on a roadtrip to visit the 20 new locations that were also found.

All the clues the team found lead them to a certain unmarked grave located on top of a certain mountain. There is a good chance that the grave had been safeguarding a wooden chest containing the golden revolver all these years. As to who lies down there, well that will remain a mystery, hopefully until the scavenger hunt goes live.
